I have completed Reliquary by Preston and Child. This book was essentially a 'more of the same' type of thing, following on the heels of Relic. The book took the same formula, and was, essentially the same story, with a slightly different setting.
There was a surprise in the end, and it was a good one. Although, I think it was easier to see coming than in the first book.
Having also read Brimstone by these authors and in this series, i am glad to say that they do stop with this same formula. it was good once, but it doesnt hold the lasting appeal of david eddings 'sentient blue rock' books.
ive decided i would like to write some quest for glory games if i ever learn to program well. Isnt that exciting?
Also, my next book will be 'cabinet of curiousities' by preston and child...after that will be 'the protector's war'...if i can ever find that novel :(
